Daddy Turns 30!

Daddy turned 30 on June 27, 2013.

We celebrated at home by having Daddy pick up dinner and cupcakes for his "party"

Let's just say with four little ones, he had to help out!

The following Saturday, we had a pool party for Daddy.  Grandma made two cool picture collages of Daddy's thirty years.  We were so blessed that the weather was perfect for Daddy's party since it has been so rainy and thunderstormy lately.

Here's the family (minus Jamison who was napping) posing before we ate.

The BBQ from the caterer was a little late (30 minutes) but that all worked out in the end because they gave us a 50% discount.  That was another huge blessing.

Daddy had fun opening his gifts.  The favorite was a scrapbook made by his Nanny.  What a treasure and labor of love that was!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

We love you!!!

Jamie

Jamie or Jamison?

My mommy calls me both.

It's hard being a baby...

But I'm so cute!

Father's Day Fishing

Today, Granddaddy Bob and Daddy celebrated Father's Day with my 3 big boys.

They took the boys fishing and all had a great time.

Here is Chandler with one of his fish:

Here is Maverick with his first fish.  Such a cutie pie.  I could just eat him up and all those curls!
I was told that he was proud of his fish but also a little afraid of it.

Here's Granddaddy Bob and Brighton!

Happy Father's Day to two of the greatest Fathers there are!
I'm so lucky to have such wonderful role models for my boys.  You couldn't ask for better family-men like these two.  I know these boys will be blessed by all the things they will learn growing up in our family.

Last Day of K

Today was Chandler's last day of Kindergarten!

Wow!  The year went by so quickly.  Here was Chandler on his first day
(note: the picture was in the yard since we were still under construction on the house!)

And here is Chandler today:

He has changed a little, but not too much.  The face is a little less babyish and he's grown in both height and weight I'm sure.  His appetite is definitely on the increase and I'm worried about the amount of food these four teenage boys will soon be consuming in my house!

We received Chandler's Progress Report and also attendance records in the mail a few days after school ended.  There are no grades, but I=Introduced WO=Working On P=Proficient and AC=Area of Concern.  Chandler is P in approximately 90% of the concepts that they introduce in Kindergarten.  There are a few that he is WO and two others that were I.  There were no AC.

He was absent 5 days due to sickness, 1 day for an education opportunity, and late 1 day.

It was a wonderful year and we are so blessed that Chandler (and all of our boys) have been given the opportunity to attend this Montessori school.  Chandler will find out who his 1st-3rd grade teachers will be in mid-July.  I'm praying that God will place Chandler with the best teachers for him and our family. Until then we plan to relax, enjoy summer, and swim in the pool!

Jamison's Baptism Weekend

I know I'm way behind on blogging....

The Godparents, Erin & Joel came down for the weekend to celebrate Jamison's Baptism!

Joel and the boys were able to go for a brief swim.  With all the rain we've had, we haven't cranked up the pool heater and it was a chilly 81 (I know, we are spoiled).

We had a wonderful dinner at the church on Saturday night to celebrate.

Here the Godparents hold a crying Jamison....

Somehow Joel managed to pick up the other three too:

Here is the whole family on Sunday after the baptism at church:

A beautiful family of six!

The siblings: Granddaddy Bob and "Auntie Liz"

Erin and Joel are in the process of pursuing adoption.  They have been unsuccessful in other ways of growing their family.  All of the paperwork, home visits, and other red tape has been completed thus far.  Now begins the true waiting game.  Please pray for them and the birth mother that will eventually select them as parents.  I know Erin and Joel will be great parents as this has been on their hearts for many years now.  Hopefully they won't have to wait too much longer and I'll get to be an "auntie" too (at least the closest I can get since I'm an only child!)

Jamison's 2-month Stats!

Jamison is now 2 months old!

He is having trouble holding up his large head since it's about the size of a 6-month-old's.

Stats:
Weight: 12 lbs, 6 oz, 50 %
Height: 22.75", 40 %
Head, 43 cm, greater than 100%

Jamison is now smiling and cooing more and more.  It's hard to get a picture of a smile since when you stick the camera in his face he wonders where you went.

He is a great sleeper at night and I'm starting to work on shaping his daytime naps too.  He loves looking at fans, bright, colorful lights, and faces.  All the usual baby stuff.

Jamison, We love you!
