Weekend Fun

The weather was great this past weekend, so Mommy and Daddy gave me my first bike ride. After Daddy spent 30 minutes trying to attach the seat to his bike, we were able to ride up and down the street. I really liked the breeze blowing in my face, however my mushroom hard hat kept falling down over my eyes!

I also had some time to catch up on my reading! I love crawling over to my book case and pulling up on it, then throwing all my books out on the ground. Here I am after I picked up a good one to read!

Fun with Hair!

After my bath the other night, Mommy and Daddy were playing with my hair. I thought it was really funny when I would look in the mirror!

Deuce's Log....14.5 weeks

Mommy went to the midwives today for another check on me. Everything looks good. The midwives heard my heartbeat at 140-150 bmp. Mommy is slightly concerned about getting to the Birthing Center in time. The midwives told her that 2nd time moms usually go quicker and easier, so we'll just see. I heard that they plan to get a look at me on ultrasound at the end of this month, or early June. No peeking at my private parts please...I want to be a surprise!

Dr. Pretzel

On Friday I met Dr. Pretzel. Okay, so his name isn't exactly Pretzel, but close enough. He is my new Dentist. So far I like him. He gave me a Pooh toothbrush that I like to use as a hairbrush or pretend that it's a car. He examined my teeth and couldn't believe that I already have all of my teeth (16) except my 2-year molars in. I had a good check-up and plan to see him again in a year or so.

Mobility 101

As many of you know...I have decided that I would like to learn how to move around/crawl around the house. The last two weeks I have really proven to Mommy and Daddy that I really can crawl around. I went from not moving around to army crawling in one day, then hands and knees crawling the next day, then pulling up to a stand the next day.

One of the first things I crawled towards is the electrical cord for the torch lamp in the living room! Mommy and Daddy weren't too happy about that.

Here is the classic shot (all babies do this) of me crawling to the front door to look out:

I also found out very quickly that if I try and pull up to a stand on Katie's feeding and water bowls that they can't support my weight and I fall backwards spilling water everywhere! Kinda scary at first, but I then had fun patting at the water spilled on the carpet while Daddy went to get some towels!

Peanut Butter Shampoo!

So, I decided I wanted to show you guys a picture of my devilish side! Mommy and Daddy like to post pictures of me when I'm happy, smiling, and doing everything I'm supposed to do. However, I want to post a picture of me after I have smeared peanut butter all over my head!

Here's my Big Update!

Now that I'm on the move it's hard to find time to stop and blog about it all! Here's what's been going on with me in the last few weeks...

On Monday, 4/21 I had my first Physical Therapy appointment. I enjoyed playing with all the different toys and trying out the different positions the doctor put me in. Of course it wasn't as easy for mommy to do when we got home! I have started to cruise more and more at the couch and now I go to the right and the left!

Here's a picture of me and my (great) grandmother. Mommy and I went to visit her on Friday. I had a good time! I cut two more teeth (for a total of 14) that mommy noticed at grandmother's house. I have my first dental appointment May 9th. I plan to bite the dentist.

Here I am showing off my artwork. I have started coloring. Mommy bought me these special crayons that I can hold all by myself. I did this picture for daddy while he was at work. He was very impressed! Daddy now works from home on Wednesdays for a while to try and save gas. I will enjoy sneaking in and playing with him.

Here is a photo of my crawling motion. They tell me that I am doing "military" style crawling. I hear that mommy did that too. I keep my right arm tucked in and my left arm stretched forward. I am getting faster and faster each day. Today I have a therapy appointment and I know the doctor will be impressed with my progress. That's all for now...
