Happy Halloween!

This Halloween is very special for our family as we have welcomed our new bundle of joy! We are having a great time introducing my baby brother into this world.

I told mommy and daddy that I would like to share this blog with Brighton, so we are currently thinking of how we are going to do that. So, expect some changes in the blog soon!

Meanwhile...here is another slideshow:

Another Miracle Has Arrived!

My new baby brother was born today! God blessed us with another baby boy to join our family. Mommy noticed something may be happening around 11:00am this morning. Labor progressed throughout the afternoon. We arrived at the birth center around 3:30pm and joined our excited family. The labor progressed nicely and fairly quickly. Just like me, he was born under water at 6:17pm.

Here are some of the first pictures!

Farm Day for the WBWC

Today, the Women's Birth and Wellness Center had their 5th annual birthday party bash at a farm near Hillsborough, NC. We decided to attend this year. As we drove up into the parking lot, Maureen (the midwife who caught me a year and a half ago), greeted us with signs of crossed fingers since it is now less than two weeks away until my little brother/sister is born! We then proceeded to inform her that we figured that if we were going to come out into the country for something, we chose a good place - a place with all 5 midwives in one spot. Maureen responded with, "The back of my car will do just fine!". Anyways...the farm allowed me to get up close and personal with a lot of neat farm animals. We got to see cows, goats, roosters, chickens, geese, horses, oh my. Here are some pictures of the event. The pumpkin is Maureen!

Pumpkins!

Notice anything unusual in this picture?

Yes, you guessed right! Daddy painted mommy's belly like a pumpkin and had her pose next to our front-yard decorations! Neat, huh?

The State Fair!

Today we went to the North Carolina State Fair. We tried to go last year, but I wasn't feeling well, so we ended up not going. I had a lot of fun, got to ride some fun rides, eat some good food, and do a lot of walking around! My favorite ride was the choo-choo train! However, we don't have any pictures because daddy's camera battery died halfway into our fair trip. I think daddy wants an extra camera battery for Christmas because he wasn't too happy when it died! Here are some pictures of our fun at the fair! You can't see me too well in the dragon, but you can see the top of my head next to daddy! I also did some fishing and caught a big one (if you look closely, I actually caught two at once!

Fun at the Park

Daddy is taking off some time before the new baby comes to spend extra time with me...YEAH! Today we went to a park that I have never been to before. It is called Laurel Hills Park and it is near Crabtree Mall. I had a lot of fun running around and even went down some of the slides. I also enjoyed driving part of the ship with this neat steering wheel. There is also a lake there and we walked down to get some pictures of me.

Weight: 25 lbs. 12 oz. (50%)
Height: 32 1/2" (52%)
Head: 48.5 cm (74%)

Here are some pictures of me having fun in the bathtub!

Deuce's Birthday Cake

Mommy has a tradition of eating a Birthday cake on the day that her children are born. She made my cake today and put it in the freezer where it will stay until I decide to come out!

Preparing for Baby!

One day when I woke up this last week, I walked out into the great room and found a bunch of my old toys/furniture setup! It included my bouncy seat, a swing, and my pack-and-play. I just kept running around from one thing to the other wondering what is going on. Mommy and Daddy said that they are preparing for the new baby to arrive and that the baby will be using this furniture.

I was very interested in the buttons on the pack-and-play. I had to wedge myself between the bed and the pack-and-play to press the buttons!

Mommy and Daddy also were making a sign to put in the front yard when the new baby arrives. All I wanted to do was play with the stickers. Mommy and Daddy decided that they didn't need the rest of the letters, so they attacked me with them!

Shower for Deuce

Today Mommy went to a shower to celebrate me! There was lots of yummy food there that I enjoyed, especially the banana parfaits. Mommy says that she got a lot of nice things for me including two new strollers that I'll be sharing with my big brother, Chandler. I can't wait to see all of this stuff in person!

Hill Ridge Farm Fun!

Today we went to Hill Ridge Farm in Youngsville. I met my friend, Isabelle out at the farm. We had a lot of fun together. There was so much to do! While waiting for Isabelle to arrive, I made my way through this giant maze. I thought that I was never going to make it out of there. You can see how happy I was when I finally saw the end!

The farm has animals to look at. I like to entertain mommy and daddy with all the animal noises that I know. Sometimes I say that the cow says "moo" now (instead of "baa") but this means that the sheep also says "moo".

Isabelle and I played in the sandbox for a little while before taking a ride on a giant slide. The pictures didn't come out to clear of that because we were going so fast, but it sure was fun. Next, we went into this giant box of corn! It was a lot of fun! I couldn't walk in it because I kept sinking, but I finally figured out how to crawl on top.

Last, we went on a hayride and went to the pumpkin patch. I had fun running through all of the pumpkins. I tried my hardest to pick them up, but they were all to heavy! What a fun day we had!

Play Date!

Today I had a play date with my friend, Gabe. I met Gabe at gymboree class. Gabe is 16 months old. Today I am 18 months old. Gabe's mommy is expecting a new little brother or sister for Gabe in early March. I will have to teach Gabe the ropes of what it means to be the oldest! I liked playing over at Gabe's house. He has a kitchen!
