8 Months Old!

Today I turned 8 months old! I am on the cusp of crawling! Mommy keeps making me mad by placing toys just out of my reach and making me try and get them! I have 'shuffled' occasionally, but have yet to truly 'crawl'. I have been quite grumpy this last week, but I have a good excuse! My two top front teeth are coming in, and they really don't feel good! I am a grabber! Last week, I was playing with my brother and before I knew it, I had a clump of his hair in my hand. I am sleeping well lately now that I have a routine down pat. If my routine is messed up slightly, then there is hell to pay! I am measuring right at 20 pounds! Hope everyone is doing well. Here is a pictures of me on the couch and a picture of me diving into the bucket of toys!

Happu Bir-Bir to Dadu (aka Happy Birthday to Daddy)

Yesterday was Daddy's birthday, but we really celebrated it today since that's when the most people would be available and it fit better into our schedules. So we had family and friends over for a wonderful rib dinner! And we sang Happy Birthday to Daddy! I also got to help him blow out his candles!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Mommy, Daddy, and I participated in IBM Family Night at the Durham Bulls game! If you are a loyal blog follower, you will notice that this is the second year in a row (However, last year Daddy didn't know it was IBM night, so we payed for tickets last year)! We had so much fun! It was really neat to be able to watch the game and people. Mommy would show me how the pitcher would throw the ball and then the batter would hit the ball. After every pitch, I just got used to saying 'He Missed!'. I also got the hang of clapping after every play! I enjoyed eating the food too! Mommy and I downed two large cups of lemonade, because it was quite hot outside! I even got some Cracker Jacks! Thanks to Grandma who stayed home with Brighton so that I could stay up past my bedtime to see the game!

I Didn't Fall Off the Mountain!

Hi all!
This past long weekend, our family took a trip to the NC mountains to visit family! We rented a minivan so that we could take Grandmother Cooke along with us. We went to visit Mommy's Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Dennis, their daughter Erin and her husband Joel, along with three dogs and a cat! We really had a great time and had wonderful hospitality! The highlights include a rafting trip down the New River and a trip to the top of Mount Jefferson! Brighton and I really had a great time and would love to go back again (Daddy says only in the summertime though!). Here are some of the pictures from our trip! Enjoy!

Thanks again Aunt Elizabeth, Uncle Dennis, Erin, and Joel!

Mountains!

We are off to the mountains tomorrow. We are going to visit my mom's Aunt and Uncle (Elizabeth and Dennis), cousin (Erin), and her husband (Joel), and of course the dogs!

When Mommy and Daddy asked me what I was going to do in the mountains, I replied "I fall down the mountain"!

We shall see what happens! Will post information and pictures when we return!

Pool Fun!

This past weekend we spent some time in the pool! I really love the pool and hope to learn how to swim and do everything in the pool on my own! I really dislike getting out of the pool even though my lips are bright purple and I am shivering! I'm sure you will see lots of pictures of us in the pool this summer!

Bowling!

Mommy and Daddy thought I might like to try bowling. So last night we went to the bowling alley, and I really enjoyed it! The people at the bowling alley brought me this neat ramp so that I could push the ball down the ramp with ease! I bowled an entire game and my score was 81! I took off down the lane once, and found out how very slippery the lane wax really is! I did a split! I also got distracted by the girls in the lane next to us and had to take a break to go chat it up with them. Other than that, it was a great experience!

Pool Time!

Hi all,
Believe it or not, today was the first day this year that we got into our pool! We have just been busy and when we've had the time, the weather hasn't been great. My friend Isabelle came over to join us for a swim in the pool! I had a great time in the pool and am looking forward to many more dips in the pool this summer!

Comedian!

Hi all,
Daddy thinks lately that I am quite the comedian. He laughs pretty hard at me when I say some things. For example...here is a recent conversation we had one evening.
Me.....I see Brighton eating carrots.
Daddy..Chandler, what kinds of things do you eat?
Me.....Uhhh, apples!
Daddy..That's good, what other types of things do you eat?
Me.....(after thinking about it for 10 seconds) Guinea Pigs! (Sounded more like 'giggy pigs') (I started giggling)

Daddy for some reason fell on the floor laughing! I thought it was pretty funny.

Another example of a funny thing I said:
We often after dinner go down to the lake and walk around and feed the geese! This particular night was a pretty hot night, and Mommy and Daddy let me walk on my own down the path, rather than riding in the stroller. A man was walking the other direction and was passing us. He happened to have his shirt off, so I pointed and said "Naked!".

Daddy and Mommy laughed pretty hard about that one too!
