Charleston Visit!

Our family took a trip down near Charleston, SC to visit my Mimi's (mom's mom) family. I got to see Chloe (who I call "Cloo-Clo") who is only 9 months older than me. We had a lot of fun playing and running around! Mommy and Daddy were concerned about taking two kids under the age of 2 on a 5 hour car ride. Like usual, Brighton and I proved to Mommy and Daddy that we are very good kids and can handle just about anything. We did great on the car ride - only a little bit of boredom led to some fussiness, but overall we did great! Here are some pictures of our trip. My favorite part was receiving the coveted Hess truck from Uncle Terry!

Visit from Rae

Today, a good friend of mommies from high school came to visit us while she was in town for the holidays. She normally lives in New York City. If you are an avid reader of the blog, you'll remember she has visited us in the past. It was good to see her and catch up!

Ouch - My Leg Hurts!

Today, I had my 2 month check up with the pediatrician. Everything went really well and I now weigh 12 lbs, 15.5 ounces (let's just say 13 pounds). I am in the 90% range for weight, 35% range for length, and 75% for head. I am really starting to follow in my big brother's footsteps...big head and weight a lot! The doctor was really nice, I think I will like him, however, some lady came in afterwards and poked me with something 3 times in the legs! I was sore for a day or two and kinda fussy, but overall I handled it well!

My Big Weekend - Baptism!

Hi Everybody...

This weekend, I was baptized at our church! What an amazing and important event. We had lots of family attend and my Godmommy Erin and Goddaddy Joel were even able to spend the night with me at our house Saturday night. We then went to the church Sunday morning and then after church, we all went out to eat at a local restaurant! What a fun weekend! Here are some pictures showing this weekends events!

More Museum Fun!

Today, Grandma came with us to the Marbles museum in downtown Raleigh. Mommy told me that Grandmother was getting us a family membership to the museum, so we made a trip to get the membership! My brother Chandler had been to this museum a while ago when he wasn't able to really walk, but now he is all over the place! Grandma made sure I didn't feel left out by dressing me up in all kinds of costumes! Here are some pictures of my brother and I at the museum having fun!

Museum Fun!

Today we decided to go to the Life and Science Museum in Durham for a little while. Mommy and Daddy had some free passes that they had to use up before year's end, and with Christmas coming, we decided to go ahead and go. I wish we had more time because we didn't really get to see everything, but Daddy promised that we would go back sometime soon and spend more time. My favorite part of the whole museum was pushing the handicap buttons at the doors to make them open automatically! Actually, they were pretty neat, but I really enjoyed the exhibits of the museum!

Christmas Pictures

Daddy decided that we should try and get some pictures of me with the Christmas tree! His intentions were grand, but he forgot that taking pictures of an almost two year old (me) standing still next to a Christmas tree full of pretty lights and ornaments to touch and looking straight at the camera smiling, is next to impossible!
Here are some of the outtakes! P.S. He even tried getting my brother in some of them!

My First Bottle!

Today I received my first bottle. Daddy said that I must have been practicing or something because I took to it extremely well. I grabbed it and gulped the whole bottle down with ease!

I have climbed the mountain!

I have been trying to do this for a long time now and I can now finally get to the top of the mountain, also known as the couch! I can now get up onto the couch all by myself. Mommy and Daddy always yell at me when I stand up and run back and forth on the couch, but man, it sure is fun! I listen for the most part, but sometimes I just tune Mommy and Daddy out because I am having so much fun bouncing back and forth on the couch. Usually in the evenings I will climb up on the couch and sit down like Mommy and Daddy and watch a little TV.

I am getting used to having my little brother around. Most of the time I am a real big helper to Mom and Dad. Oh, by the way, I've sort of stopped calling them 'Mommy' and 'Daddy'. I now prefer 'Mom' and 'Dad'. Anyways...I do help out a lot. I go get new diapers to help change my brother and am always interested in what is going on with him. You will often find me stopping what I'm doing and going over to brother and giving him a soft kiss on top of his head! Mom and Dad always tell me how sweet that is of me to do that.

If you've been a follower of my blog, you may know that one of my first words was 'car', and everything was a car, even trucks. I would often argue with Mom and Dad when they would point out that it was a truck - I would just yell back 'car!!!'. Well, eventually I then switched to calling everything a truck instead. Well, just recently I started saying car again. Maybe one day I'll say car and truck!

I'm starting to put together phrases. One day I was in our driveway and went to Dad's car and said 'Dadda car'. I also like to point out when my baby brother is crying by saying 'brother cry'.

Anyways...that's all for now. Here's a couple more pictures!

Growing Quickly!

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that I am growing and changing quickly. Everyone is starting to say that I am now looking at lot like my big brother now that I've gained some weight and filled out more. I am also starting to have more facial expressions and smiling a lot. I even am trying to talk to mommy and daddy every once in a while with the famous baby 'cooo' sounds!

Here are some of my latest pictures!
