Feeling Better
Well, less than 100 days to go. Can you believe it? Mommy must be feeling much better now because she is moving around again. For the past week or so Mommy has been going to a special doctor called a Chiropractor. It turns out that she didn't have sciatica, but I was causing a nerve to be pinched and boy it was painful. She couldn't hardly walk or take care of my brother, Chandler. Luckily the nerve pain is gone and all that remains is soreness from the adjustments. I wasn't quite sure what was going on at first. I was sleeping happily when I heard a loud pop and I thought my walls were caving in.....that must have been the first adjustment! After that I haven't heard many more pops, but I always wake up and move around a lot after Mommy gets adjusted. Anyways, Mommy is glad to be back to her old self again (well, almost) Till next time......Deuce

Off to the Races!
Hi all!
I have great news. Last night I was playing on the floor with my family. They decided to let me go when I was standing up and before I knew it...I was half-way across the room on my feet. I'm not sure how I did it, but my mom and dad said that I just took my first steps and am now on the way to walking and running! At times I was able to take 6-7 steps at a time, all by myself! It feels very wierd, but with some practice, I can tell that I will really like it!
Daddy is pretty smart! About ten days ago...I started standing up on my own, and daddy told everyone that in two weeks time, I would be walking! He was right!
Here are some pictures of the action...however, daddy said it was hard to get pictures because you could never tell when I was going to fall, or when I was going to walk across the room!

Owie!
Mommy has a very comfy place in her uterus that both Chandler and I like to nestle down into. Unfortunately for mommy this area tends to pinch a nerve and give her sciatica. The sciatica has been bearable so far, but yesterday it became excruciating. Mommy decided to make good use of the pool and went swimming last night and again early this morning in an attempt to get me to reposition. I'm not sure if I will yet, because this place is very comfy, but I know mommy would appreciate it so she could feel better (and walk).

Has Anyone Seen My Binky?
I seemed to have misplaced my binky (pacifier) somewhere. Anyone know where it might be? For some reason, I have not had my binky all week. I guess that I won't be able to use it anymore. Instead, at night a stuffed monkey has shown up in my crib. I like it instead of my binky, but I just wonder where my binky went.
Mommy and Daddy say I'm a big boy now and don't need it anymore. I cried for an hour and a half the first time I couldn't have it for nap time, but other than that I have been pretty good without it. I was a little whiny for a couple of days, but seem to be ok now.

Stand-Up!
Ok, so...what does it look like I'm trying to do in this picture? You got it! I am now standing up on my own! I started doing this today and my parents were so proud. Sometimes it takes so coaxing, but I will do it for the most part. I am getting smart though and will use Dad's leg instead of doing it on my own! Hehe :)

Lake Gaston!
My grandma's birthday (Dad's mom) was yesterday (July 14th). For her birthday, we thought we would surprise her with a trip up to Lake Gaston and stay in a water front motel for the weekend. We found this nice little resort that had a lot of activities to do. I got to swim in the lake several times, an outdoor pool, and an indoor pool - all in one weekend! We told her we were going the weekend before, so she had a whole week to prepare to go to the lake. I think she really enjoyed a nice vacation, we all had a lot of fun together! We got to cook out and make smores.
Here are some pictures of our great trip!

Pickle Chips & Pepsi
Mommy and I decided that we were craving some pickle chips last night. Mommy says she didn't really "crave" much with my brother Chandler but I do! I demanded that Daddy go to Lynnwood grill at 9 p.m. last night and get us an order of Pickle Chips! Boy were they YUMMY! Mommy woofed them down in no time flat. Luckily we had one Pepsi here that we also indulged in. Mommy normally avoids caffeine, so this was a special treat. Daddy was lucky that we shared about 4 chips with him. He probably won't be so lucky next time....

Chandler's Farm
Now that I am starting to learn to say things and imitate sounds, I have built up quite a vocabulary of animal sounds. My parents like to call this the farm animal routine, where they ask me what different animals say. This is quite an unusual group of farm animals. In my farm, I have dogs, birds, fish, and cows. This video shows how I do it. If you have been reading this blog, you will know that my sound for "cow" is not quite what you would expect. You also may want to turn the volume down slightly when Daddy asks me what does the cow say.

Gymboree!
My mom signed me up for Gymboree classes this summer. They are so much fun! I have been to two of them so far. I take a music class on Tuesdays and can go to Gymboree (which is climbing, sliding, and tumbling) on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. I especially enjoy throwing the balls and popping the bubbles. Here are a couple pictures from my music class.

Fish!
One of my favorite words to say is Fish. Well...ok, it's more like "shisssh", but everyone knows what I mean! While down at Myrtle Beach this past weekend, mommy and daddy took me to the big aquarium because they thought I would really like it. Turns out I did! The fish were really neat and big and even swam right over the top of my head! Mommy and Daddy said I was very interested and in awe watching them! Here are some pictures!
This is a neat shot of mommy and me next to the tank!
Big shark swimming above my head!
Swimming with the jellyfish!
I liked this little fishy!

Beach!
Hi everyone,
This past weekend I went to the beach with my family. We had a good time celebrating the 4th of July. We went to Sunset Beach and mommy and daddy wanted to see the "Kindred Spirit" mailbox on Bird Island. I had no idea what they were talking about, but apparently it is some mailbox located way out on the southern tip of Sunset Beach where people can go and write down wishes, memories, journal entries, etc. and leave them for other people to read. It was a 2 mile walk to the mailbox and 2 miles back, so we decided to take off with our stuff and when we got to the mailbox we rested and swam, then came back. The trip down to the mailbox was tough on me. I got to ride in the jogging stroller while sipping water and eating cheerios. I had to listen to my parents, mimi, and grandaddy whine about how tough it was - into the wind the whole way, high tide so there wasn't hard packed sand to walk/ride the bikes on, blah, blah, blah. Thank goodness it was much easier on the way back...Daddy put an umbrella on my stroller to block the sun, but it ended up acting like a sail and carried me home!
