Today, I turned 5 months old! My how time flies! I am really starting to develop my personality. Mommy and Daddy think I am going to be a contorionist when I grow up! I am very good at rolling and wriggling out of seats. Most of the time it is when my parents do not expect it, and it catches them off-guard, causing them to have mini heart-attacks. The bouncy seat, the swing, the couch - I can twist and turn out of them very easily! My sleep habits are slowly getting better. I am now usually only waking to nurse once in the night, but sometimes I wake up a little earlier than I should. Mommy and Daddy are teaching me how to fall asleep and for the most part it is going well. Here is a picture of me on my 5 month birthday!

Bubbles, Bubble, Everywhere!
I have this little toy tiger that spits out bubbles when you hold the trigger down! I absolutely loved it. Today we had some warmer weather, so we spent some time outside and I got to blow bubbles everywhere. I often have to be reminded to point the bubble machine into the sky and not directly into the ground. Because of that, I often end up with big blobs of bubbles on the grass!

Window's Down, Breeze Blowing My Hair
All,
Daddy said that he read in someone else's blog (Surface Family) about driving with the windows down in the car and how much their kids loved it!
So, Daddy had to run up the street to drop off a Fedex package, so I hopped into my car seat with him, and since it was fairly warm, Daddy decided to roll down the windows for the trip.
I squealed and wriggled with delight as I felt the wind blowing my hair. I kept trying to stick my hand out the window as if it 'controlled' the flow. Daddy loved watching me smile and laugh!
Unfortunately, Daddy decided not to take pictures of me while he was driving :)
Maybe next time!

Discussion on Sleep
Hi all,
Mommy and Daddy wanted me to talk to you a little about my developments in my sleeping patterns. My parents tell me that my brother Chandler never really had any sleeping issues. He was always a good sleeper and they really didn't have to work with him much. Of course, I didn't want to copy my brother, so I have given Mommy and Daddy a little challenge lately. For the last 2 months or so, I couldn't get rid of the winter cold that was going around. It seemed like I caught and got rid of it twice within the last 5 weeks or so. Because of that, my sleeping was not good, I always had a stuffy nose, and it was hard to breathe. I would wake up often and it seemed that nursing would be the only answer to allow me to go back to sleep for another hour or two. For some reason, Mommy and Daddy always seemed grumpy and tired! Not sure why.
Anyways...I think I have finally gotten rid of the nasty cold and stuffiness that I've had for a while. I am now figuring out how to sleep better. Since I'm not sick anymore, Mommy and Daddy are starting to teach me how to fall asleep on my own, rather than nursing myself to sleep! A few days ago, they decided to give it a shot for bedtime, and I was not happy! I cried for about 30 minutes, but I eventually gave up and fell asleep. The next night, I got the picture and fell asleep very quickly with no fuss! I never knew I could fall asleep on my own!
Mommy and Daddy are very happy that I'm learning to fall asleep on my own and for almost a week now, I really have only woken up once to nurse and stir only a couple of other times during the night!
I'm starting to learn from my brother about sleep too. He goes to bed about 8:30 pm and almost never makes a peep until 8:00 am!
Well...I can't post without a picture, so here's a picture of when I happened to fall asleep in my crib about a month ago! (Of course, it was probably only for a few minutes!)

Simple Entertainment
This is what kept me entertained for several minutes and also kept my baby brother entertained as well. Mommy would hand me a sticker, I would take the sticker from her hand, then I would find a good spot on my brother to place the sticker. I would then ask Mommy for more, and repeat about 25 times or so!

Playdate with Jack!
Hi all,
I really like to have playdates, so Mommy has been trying to arrange a lot of them lately for me. Today, I went over to Jack's house. Jack is my buddy from church. We have spent a lot of time over the last year in the church's nursery. We had a great time playing together, and even got to play with construction hats!

Is it Spring Yet?
We have had a couple of nice spurts of warmer weather, which really is getting me excited. I cannot wait until I can spend all my time outdoors. I often pitch a fit when mommy and daddy ask me to come inside to do something not very important like eat or use the potty, etc..
Here are several pictures of my family out in the yard this past weekend. I often demand that Daddy puts the work gloves on my hand. In this case, we were working on spreading a little pinestraw! I also like throwing pine cones in the bin!

In the Bird Cage!
Connor has recently been showing some behavioral issues, so in an effort to curb some of them, he took a vacation and was gone for a whole weekend. We think he might be stressed due to all the activity in the house and a thing called sexual maturity might be playing a factor (atleast that's what mommy and daddy say...not sure what that means!). Anyways...part of the effort was also to totally re-arrange the furniture in the office and clean/re-arrange Connor's cage! While Dad had the cage on the floor, I saw that I could crawl in! So I went in and saw what it was like from Connor's perspective!

Fat Lip!
Ok, so I have fallen to the ground and bumped my head and gotten some scraps on my hands and knees. But I have yet to really let the blood flow, until last night...
I was running fast around the corner into the great room and the corner of my train table jumped out and bit me in the mouth! No, actually, I tripped and my lip/mouth met the corner of the train table. It was not a pretty site! It was by far my worst spill yet. What a bloody mess! After all was cleaned up, I ended up with just a really fat/swollen/cut open lip. Luckily, it didn't bleed too much, so no stiches, but probably not far from it. I handled it like a champ! I really didn't let it bother me too much! And of course...if you know my parents...they got a picture of my fat lip!

Snow in March!?!
This morning when my Mommy came into my room to wake me up, she pulled up the shade and I took a look outside. I immediately uttered the words, "Mom" "Boots" "On" "Go" "Outside". There was several inches of snow on the ground and I really wanted to go out and play. So after breakfast, Mommy suited me up and we went to play!

All suited up, ready to go!
Having a taste!
Brighton was not real happy about watching from inside...
So out he came with me!
